Air Fryer Pizza Bombs

  • Author: Martha
  • Total Time: 18 min.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pizza Bombs:

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni or regular pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce (for dipping)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese

Instructions

Prepare the Pizza Bombs

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Biscuit Dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough. Separate the biscuits and flatten each one into a small circle using your hands or a rolling pin. You want to create a shape that can easily hold the filling.
  3. Add the Toppings: Place about 1 tablespoon of mozzarella cheese and a few pieces of pepperoni in the center of each biscuit circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges together to form a ball. Make sure the edges are sealed tightly so the cheese doesn’t escape during cooking.
  4. Season the Pizza Bombs: Brush each pizza bomb lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning for added flavor.

Cook the Pizza Bombs

  1. Place in the Air Fryer: Arrange the pizza bombs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Be sure to leave a little space between them so they cook evenly.
  2. Air Fry: Cook the pizza bombs at 375°F (190°C) for 10-13 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.
  3. Check for Crispiness: If you like extra crispiness, you can cook them for an additional 2-3 minutes. Once they’re golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer.

Serve the Pizza Bombs

  1. Serve with Pizza Sauce: Serve your pizza bombs hot with a side of pizza sauce for dipping. You can also sprinkle some grated parmesan cheese or crushed red pepper flakes on top for extra flavor.
