Instructions
Prepare the Hot Chocolate
- Heat the Milk and Cream: In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and cream. Heat over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Stir occasionally.
- Melt the Chocolate: Once the milk mixture is heated, add the chocolate (or cocoa mix) and sugar. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add Vanilla and Salt: Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor.
- Serve: Pour the hot chocolate into a large serving bowl or individual mugs. Top with mini marshmallows, whipped cream, or chocolate shavings as desired.
Assemble the Charcuterie Board
- Prepare the Waffles and Pancakes: Warm your waffles or pancakes and slice them into smaller, bite-sized pieces. Arrange them in a circle or along the edge of the board.
- Arrange the Pastries: Place your croissants, muffins, or danishes in a central area of the board for easy access.
- Add the Fresh Fruits: Scatter fresh berries, sliced bananas, and pears around the board. These will add a pop of color and freshness.
- Include the Toppings: Place small bowls with sprinkles, chocolate chips, graham cracker crumbs, and any other fun toppings for your hot chocolate.
- Add Yogurt and Nuts: Put a bowl of yogurt and some nuts near the fruit and pastries for guests to dip or spread.
