Caprese Skewers

  • Author: Martha
  • Total Time: 15 min.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Skewers:

  • 12 fresh cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 12 small fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
  • 12 fresh basil leaves
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

Assemble the Skewers

  1. Prepare Your Skewers: If using wooden skewers, you can cut them into shorter pieces for easy bites. Alternatively, you can use toothpicks for individual portions.
  2. Layer the Ingredients: On each skewer, thread a cherry tomato, followed by a basil leaf (folded if necessary), then a mozzarella ball. Repeat until you have as many skewers as you’d like to serve.
  3. Drizzle with Balsamic Glaze: Once your skewers are assembled, drizzle each one with balsamic glaze to add sweetness and depth of flavor.
  4. Season: Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and a dash of freshly ground black pepper to bring out the flavors.
