Cinnamon Streusel

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (cold, cut into cubes)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until everything is evenly distributed.
  2. Cut in the Butter: Add the cold butter cubes to the bowl. Using a pastry cutter, fork, or your hands, work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Sprinkle: Once your streusel is ready, sprinkle it generously over your cake, muffins, or whatever you’re baking.
  4. Bake: Follow the baking instructions for your base recipe. The streusel will turn golden and crispy as it bakes.
