  • Author: Martha
  • Total Time: 45 min.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Sear the Chicken: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Make the Sauce

  1. Combine the Sauce Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together cranberry sauce, barbecue sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Add Sauce to Chicken: Pour the sauce mixture over the seared chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated.

Bake the Chicken

  1. Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  2. Rest: Once done, remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
