Game Day Cheese Board

  • Author: Martha
  • Total Time: 20 min.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheeses:

  • 1 block sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 wheel brie cheese
  • 1 chunk Gouda cheese
  • 1 blue cheese (optional for an extra bold flavor)

Charcuterie:

  • 68 slices salami
  • 68 slices prosciutto
  • 1 cup roasted nuts (almonds or cashews work great)
  • 1 small jar of olives

Crackers and Bread:

  • 12 types of crackers (think water crackers and whole grain)
  • 1 small baguette, sliced

Fresh Fruits:

  • Grapes (red or green)
  • Apple slices (cored and fanned out)
  • Fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)

Extras:

  • Honey or fig jam for drizzling
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (like rosemary or thyme)
  • Dips like hummus or mustard (optional)

Instructions

  • Choose Your Base: Start with a large platter, wooden board, or a tray. The size will depend on how many people you’re serving.
  • Arrange the Cheeses: Place the cheeses in different corners or sections of the board, giving them plenty of space. Don’t forget to include a knife for each cheese that needs one.
  • Add the Meats: Fold or roll the slices of salami and prosciutto into small bundles and arrange them alongside the cheeses.
  • Incorporate the Crackers and Bread: Scatter crackers around the cheeses. Slice the baguette and fan the pieces out on the board.
  • Place the Fruits: Fill in the gaps with grapes, apple slices, and fresh berries. The vibrant colors will bring the board to life.
  • Add Nuts and Olives: Nestle small piles of roasted nuts and olives in the corners of the board.
  • Drizzle with Honey or Jam: For a sweet touch, drizzle honey over the brie or add a small jar of fig jam near the cheeses.
  • Garnish: Top the board with a few sprigs of fresh herbs to elevate the presentation.
