Garlic Mushrooms

  • Author: Martha
  • Total Time: 15 min.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Garlic Mushrooms:

  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms (such as cremini or button), cleaned and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: A squeeze of lemon juice for brightness

Instructions

Sauté the Mushrooms

  1. Heat the Butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the Mushrooms: Once the butter is melted, add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are golden brown and have released their moisture.
  3. Add the Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic!
  4. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste, and toss in the chopped parsley. If desired, squeeze a bit of lemon juice over the mushrooms for added brightness.
