For the Chicken:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water
For Garnish:
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken
- Coat the Chicken: Toss chicken pieces with cornstarch in a bowl until evenly coated. This step helps create a light crust and thickens the sauce as it cooks.
- Heat the Pan: Warm a nonstick skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add sesame oil.
- Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
Make the Sauce
- Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
- Thicken the Sauce: Pour the mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in the cornstarch slurry, cooking until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine and Garnish
- Add the Chicken: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce evenly.
- Garnish: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
