Kielbasa Biscuit Bombs

  • Author: Martha
  • Total Time: 30 min.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Kielbasa Biscuit Bombs:

  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough (usually 8 biscuits)
  • 1 lb kielbasa sausage (cut into small, bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Kielbasa: Cut the kielbasa into small, bite-sized pieces. If you prefer a more intense flavor, you can brown the kielbasa in a skillet for 5-7 minutes until it’s crispy on the edges, but it’s optional.
  3. Prepare the Biscuit Dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your fingers to create a small round shape, large enough to wrap around the kielbasa.

Assemble the Biscuit Bombs

  1. Add the Filling: Place 1-2 pieces of kielbasa in the center of each flattened biscuit. Top with a small sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. Form the Bombs: Carefully fold the sides of the biscuit dough over the kielbasa and cheese, pinching the edges together to seal the filling inside. Make sure the edges are well sealed to prevent the filling from spilling out during baking.
  3. Brush with Butter: Place the biscuit bombs on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Brush each bomb with melted butter to enhance the flavor and give the biscuits a golden finish. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over the top for extra seasoning.

Bake the Kielbasa Biscuit Bombs

  1. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  2. Cool: Once they’re done baking, remove the kielbasa biscuit bombs from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

Serve and Enjoy

  1. Serve: Arrange your Kielbasa Biscuit Bombs on a platter and garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch, mustard, or BBQ sauce, for added flavor.
  2. Dig In: Grab one (or two!) and enjoy the crispy, cheesy, savory goodness. These little bombs are perfect for snacking, appetizers, or even a quick meal.
