For the Brownie Batter:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt

- 1 cup M&M’s (plain or your favorite variety)
Instructions
Prepare the Batter
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt the Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
- Mix the Sugars and Eggs: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Make the Batter: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Assemble and Bake
- Pour the Batter: Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Add M&M’s: Sprinkle M&M’s evenly over the top of the batter, pressing them gently so they stick.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
