Instructions
Prepare the Crostini
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toast the Bread: Arrange the sliced bread on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Cool: Remove from the oven and let the bread cool slightly.
Assemble the Crostini
- Spread the Ricotta: Generously spread fresh ricotta cheese on each toasted slice of bread.
- Add Toppings: Top with your chosen seasonal ingredients, such as sliced figs, honey, or fresh herbs.
- Season: Drizzle with additional olive oil, and sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper and crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
