- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls each)

Instructions
Make the Taco Filling
- Cook the Meat: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef (or your choice of protein) over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add Seasoning: Drain any excess fat from the meat, then add the taco seasoning and water. Stir to combine, and let it simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened.
- Add Veggies (Optional): Stir in the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until the veggies are softened (about 3-4 minutes).
- Remove from Heat: Once everything is cooked and combined, remove the skillet from the heat and set it aside to cool slightly.
Prepare the Crescent Dough Ring
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Form the Ring: On a large baking sheet, arrange the crescent roll dough in a circle. Place the wide ends of the crescent rolls facing outward, creating a ring shape with the narrow ends pointing inward.
- Fill the Ring: Spoon the taco filling into the center of the dough ring, then sprinkle the shredded cheese over the filling.
Fold and Bake
- Close the Ring: Fold the narrow ends of the crescent rolls over the taco filling to form a ring. Press the edges gently to seal the dough around the filling.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
Serve and Top
- Cool Slightly: Let the Taco Ring cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Add Toppings: Serve the Taco Ring with your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, salsa, lettuce, and tomatoes.
