Banana Pudding Jars

  • Author: Martha
  • Total Time: 45 min.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pudding:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Layers:

  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box vanilla wafer cookies (or your favorite cookies)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Make the Pudding

  1. Prepare the Pudding: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk. Whisk for about 2 minutes until the pudding thickens.
  2. Add the Heavy Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla extract, and whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Chill: Place the pudding in the fridge and let it chill for 10-15 minutes to firm up.

Assemble the Jars

  1. Layer the Ingredients: Start by spooning a layer of pudding into the bottom of each jar. Follow with a layer of sliced bananas and then a few vanilla wafer cookies. Gently press the cookies into the pudding to help them soften.
  2. Repeat the Layers: Add another layer of pudding, followed by more bananas and cookies. Continue layering until you fill the jar, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.
  3. Top with Whipped Cream: If desired, top each jar with a dollop of whipped cream for extra creaminess and flair.
  4. Chill Again: Place the jars in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to set.
