Instructions
Prepare the Crust
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the Crust Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon. Stir until the mixture is evenly moistened.
- Press Into Pan: Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish or pie dish, creating a firm, even layer.
- Bake: Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
Make the Cream Cheese Filling
- Beat the Cream Cheese: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Add Sugar and Vanilla: Mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks.
- Fold the Whipped Cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and fluffy. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream too much.
Make the Caramel Apple Topping
- Cook the Apples: Peel, core, and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Stir occasionally and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the apples are tender and slightly caramelized.
- Add the Cream: Once the apples are tender, stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Let Cool: Remove from heat and allow the apple topping to cool for a few minutes.
Assemble the Dessert
- Layer the Cream Cheese Filling: Once the graham cracker crust has cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust, smoothing it out with a spatula.
- Top with Caramel Apples: Spoon the caramel apple mixture over the cream cheese filling, spreading it evenly.
- Drizzle with Caramel Sauce: Drizzle caramel sauce generously over the top of the apples.
Chill and Serve
- Chill: Refrigerate the dessert for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
