  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Creamy Ranch Sauce:

  • 1 packet ranch dressing seasoning mix (or homemade ranch seasoning)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half and half for a lighter version)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

Cook the Chicken

  1. Season the Chicken: Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.

Make the Ranch Sauce

  1. Combine the Sauce Ingredients: In the same skillet, add the ranch dressing seasoning, sour cream, heavy cream, and chicken broth. Stir until well combined and the sauce is smooth.
  2. Simmer the Sauce: Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Combine Chicken and Sauce

  1. Return the Chicken to the Skillet: Place the cooked chicken back into the skillet with the creamy ranch sauce.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Spoon the sauce over the chicken, making sure it’s well coated. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes, allowing it to soak up the creamy flavor.
