Instructions
Bake the Cake Layers
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour one 8-inch round pan and one 8-inch square pan.
- Prepare the Batter: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream the Butter and Sugar: Using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with milk, until fully combined.

Assemble the Heart Shape

- Arrange the Pieces: Place the square cake with a point facing downward. Position the two semicircles at the top sides to form a heart shape.
