Instructions
Prepare the Dough and Fillings
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
- Layer the Ingredients: Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce, followed by the chopped pepperoni.
Shape the Twists
- Fold and Cut: Fold the dough in half lengthwise to sandwich the fillings. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to slice the dough into 12 strips.
- Twist: Gently twist each strip and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
Bake the Twists
- Brush with Butter: Combine melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Brush this mixture over the twists for extra flavor.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Cool Slightly: Let the twists cool for a few minutes before serving.
