Instructions
Prepare the Potatoes
- Grate & Drain – Grate the potatoes using a box grater. Squeeze out excess liquid using a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth. This helps them crisp up.
- Mix the Ingredients – In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, cheese, eggs, flour, green onions, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir until well mixed.
Cook the Pancakes
- Heat the Pan – Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp oil.
- Form the Pancakes – Scoop about ¼ cup of the potato mixture and shape it into a patty.
- Cook Until Golden – Fry for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Press them gently with a spatula while cooking.
- Drain & Repeat – Transfer cooked pancakes to a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more butter and oil as needed.
Serve & Enjoy
