Instructions
Prepare the Chicken
- Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine chicken pieces with turmeric, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated. Let it marinate for 10 minutes while you prepare the sauce.
Cook the Chicken
- Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Sear the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces in a single layer. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
- Mix the Sauce Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and the cornstarch slurry.
- Simmer the Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the sauce mixture. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until it thickens into a glossy glaze.
Combine and Serve
- Toss the Chicken in the Sauce: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Toss until each piece is well coated with the sauce.
- Serve Immediately: Garnish with fresh cilantro, sesame seeds, and lemon wedges. Pair with steamed rice or your favorite sides.
