Burrata Salad

  • Author: Martha
  • Total Time: 15 min.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Salad:

  • 2 balls of burrata cheese
  • 3 cups arugula or mixed greens
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 peach or pear, thinly sliced (optional for a fruity twist)
  • 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts or walnuts
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

For the Dressing:

  • 3 tbsp olive oil (high-quality recommended)
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze or vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Prep the Ingredients: Wash and dry the greens, halve the cherry tomatoes, and slice the peach or pear if using.
  • Toast the Nuts: In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the pine nuts or walnuts until golden and fragrant. Be careful not to burn them!
  • Arrange the Salad Base: Spread the arugula or mixed greens on a large serving platter or individual plates.
  • Add the Burrata: Place the burrata balls in the center of the salad. Use a knife to gently score the tops to reveal their creamy interior.
  • Layer the Toppings: Scatter the cherry tomatoes, fruit slices, and toasted nuts over the greens. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  • Prepare the Dressing: Whisk together olive oil, balsamic glaze, honey, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until well combined.
  • Drizzle and Serve: Drizzle the dressing over the salad and serve immediately.
