Instructions

Prepare the Pastry

  1. Preheat Oven – Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll Out Pastry – Lightly flour your surface and roll out the puff pastry slightly to smooth out any creases.
  3. Cut into Squares – Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, slice the pastry into 8 equal squares.

Make the Filling

  1. Mix Cream Cheese – In a bowl, blend softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Assemble the Danishes

  1. Add Filling – Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  2. Add Cherries – Top the cream cheese with a spoonful of cherry pie filling.
  3. Shape the Danishes – Fold in the corners slightly or leave them open for a classic Danish look.
